I woke up at 3am this morning and worked for 9 hours today.
After work, I went to Kelly Services, my employer to arrange for direct deposit. I also went to my Branch President’s house to feed his family’s rabbit. The rabbit is so cute!
I'm a versatile kind of guy.

I woke up dark and early today at the unmentionable time of 3am. Yikes! I forgot about that time of day. It’s been at least a year and half since I woke up THAT early. Once I get in the swing of things and get used to my sleep schedule, I’m sure that it won’t be too bad. A little less than a month of this and it’ll be time to go on my mission.
Today I slept in until 6:30, quite possibly the last time I’ll be able to do that in several weeks.
I started a new job today as temporary help at Presto, a plastics manufacturing company in Appleton. It’s unclear as to what our hours will be, but we work 5am-2pm the rest of this week. It’s cool how they manufacture all these different products that are sold under hundreds of different private brand names.
My body is so used to waking up at 5am, it did it again today. I hope it won’t do that to me tomorrow.
I worked on getting files off my computer to my Dropbox account because I’m about to ship it.
Mid morning, I had an appointment with the dentist for a cleaning and general teeth inspection. Overall, my teeth got a good grade. Just another step in my mission preparation. I had an hour and a half break and was right back at the dentist office for a consultation for possibly getting my wisdom teeth removed, which we don’t have done at this time.
I woke up at 5am on Saturday before the temple trip so I could play the organ before we left from Neenah. I was glad to rehearse a few of my Sousa march arrangements for the first time.
We left Neenah for Chicago at 10am. We made very good time considering the amount of construction, perhaps people are learning to take other routes to avoid it. We arrived in on temple grounds at 12:30pm. Several people did an endowment session while the rest of us for about half an hour, mingled on the grounds before finding a place to eat lunch. We returned around 3pm to drop off the people who were going to do baptisms. Those who came to do family history left for the nearby stake center. Unfortunately, no one showed up to unlock the building.
I was pumped to wake up today at 5am, because I knew today would be my last day of working at Walmart. Between all the stress of remodel and all the temptations of food working there, I needed to leave.
Today I woke up at 4:30 so I could meet with my Branch President before work. I thought I’d be more tired waking up so early, but I was fine.
At work today, we did a lot of odds and ends tasks to finish up remodel. I’m excited about tomorrow, because it’s the last day of working at Walmart!
After work, I went to the addiction recovery program meeting by request of the Branch president. I love any meeting in the church that talks about Jesus and His atonement!
I woke up at 5am, even though I was dead tired, I decided I would stay up anyway.
Today I was outside again cleaning out the containers so they could be hauled away. There is only a little bit more to do tomorrow. Glad this Walmart job is almost done.
After work wasn’t so great. This past week may have seemed like a cake walk to you, but it hasn’t felt like it. I am really down. I’ve felt lonely and things just haven’t been going the way they should despite everything I’m trying to do. I really want to get on my mission and leave the things of this world alone and be one with God for two years, but this week just does not seem to be the week to get the ball moving more.
Today I was able to wake up on time at 5am, despite not getting home until 11am yesterday. I’m very gladdened by that.
At work today, we were in the sporting goods department. We assembled a display rack for dumbbells and did some stuff outside.
At institute tonight, we read from Moses 7 & 8. We had 4 students in attendance. The first topic we discussed was the fact that God has emotions as well and what things make God cry.we also talked about how The Lord always warns us before He destroys His people because of their wickedness. The Earth has a living, breathing soul. At the resurrection, Enoch’s Zion and our Zion will meet.
We also learned in Chapter 8 about Noah, that he is the grandson of Methuselah. Noah was a just and righteous man. Sons of God are the righteous, Sons of Man are the wicked.
After my extremely spiritual weekend, I was surprised by how fast and fun today was. I woke up at 5am with no struggles whatsoever. I feel blessed.
Today at work, we were back to cleaning. My hands and knees are really starting to feel the pain of cleaning floors day in and day out. On the bright side, there is only 4 more days left of working at Walmart. I could not me more excited.
