BracketMerge

Terms of Use

Effective October 6, 2026

BracketMerge is developed by Allen J. Blodgett ("the developer") and licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These terms add a few details specific to BracketMerge. Where they differ from the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA governs.

What BracketMerge is

BracketMerge is a photo utility that runs on your device. It merges bracketed exposures into HDR photos and exports them. It doesn't host your photos or keep an online account, so your photos and your exports are yours to keep and back up.

BracketMerge Pro

Merging, editing and the deghost brush are free and unlimited. The free version includes a limited number of full-quality exports every 7 days. BracketMerge Pro removes that limit and is offered as:

  • A yearly subscription, which may include a free trial. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. If you cancel during a free trial, you won't be charged.
  • A one-time lifetime purchase.

Purchases are made and managed through your Apple Account. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or from BracketMerge's Settings. Apple handles refunds; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy and may vary by country.

Your photos

BracketMerge works on copies of your exposures and never modifies your original files. Even so, keep your originals backed up. BracketMerge can't recover photos lost through device failure, deletion or a storage provider.

Fixes and updates

If something in BracketMerge doesn't work as described, please report it (see Contact). The developer will make a good-faith effort to fix reported bugs and deliver the fixes through App Store updates. Updates may add, change or remove features. BracketMerge relies on Apple's operating systems and photo formats, and on the files your camera produces, so compatibility with every camera, file or future system version can't be guaranteed.

No warranty

Except as required by law, BracketMerge is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost photos, data or profits, arising from your use of BracketMerge. The developer's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for BracketMerge Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

Trademarks

Apple, iPhone, iPad and Apple Pencil are trademarks of Apple Inc. Adobe and Lightroom are trademarks of Adobe. BracketMerge is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple or Adobe. Other names mentioned may be trademarks of their owners.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The effective date above shows when they last changed. If you keep using BracketMerge after a change, the updated terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Utah, United States, except where the Standard EULA or your local law says otherwise.
