I realized this week was exactly one month since having the prompting that I needed to go on a full-time mission. A lot has happened in that month time. I’ve had my dentist/doctors appointments, my bishop interview, my papers submitted, and new pictures taken. I have felt the help of the Lord every step of the way, there is no way this could have happened without His help.

This week nothing much has changed at the Global Service Center, but it will be nice to start getting phone calls soon for more events coming up in the next few weeks.

The week at the Conference Center, the building was closed on Wednesday. I took the opportunity to take a nice walk. I ended up walking an additional 5 miles that day. Between not having as much food due to not being at the Conference Center and all that walking, I have managed to lose yet another 2 pounds this week. I have now lost 97 pounds.

This upcoming Sunday on Music and the Spoken Word, the Tabernacle Choir will be hosting the BYU Singers as their special guests. We are now preparing for General Conference, the main purpose for the Choir. I won’t give away what the Choir will be singing this conference, but Easter Sunday is Conference Sunday, so you do the math.

On Thursday, I had my last dentist appointment and I’m good to go on my mission with it. After my meeting with President Young, it will only be a matter of time before I get my new call. Just to plan ahead, what time of the day would work for both you and Dad to hear me open my call? I’m thinking sometime during the day and it would be possible to conference both of you if Dad is at home and you’re at work.

Speaking of call letters, did I ever send you a copy of my Conference Center mission call? Let me know.

Today I got my groceries and went to an organ recital. I’m about to take another walk.

Love,
Elder Blodgett
