Happy New Years, Mom and Dad!

I know we haven’t celebrated New Years that much before, and I’m certainly not starting this year.

Being on a diet and all I’m so grateful that this holiday season is over. On Christmas Day I went to Karl’s brother’s house for a brunch. I’m glad it was so filling because I ate my daily amount of calories in one meal. After the meal and opening of some presents (I got two boxes of cereal), we went down to Holladay to see “Meet the Mormons.” It is such a great movie and is so inspiring. After I got home from the movie, I took a two hour long walk. I’m glad I took that walk because I lost another pound, bringing me down to 290 pounds!

This week I have been filling in at the front desk as many missionaries have this week and next off. It’s been nice to be able to be down there and meet more of the employees in the building.

It’s been a busy week at the Conference Center as the Christmas visitors come in full force. It’s also been nice to give tours to people not of our faith and explain to them more about our religion.

Besides what I have told you, it’s been rather uneventful this week. Today, I’ve done my laundry and attended the organ recital of brother Richard Elliott. He played some more Christmas songs including one of my favorites, “Bring a Blow Torch, Jeanette, Isabella.” I got my groceries and just got home.
