Today I worked for 9 hours and did some grocery shopping. I napped for about an hour after work.
Today I made some mashed potatoes with cream of shrimp. It actually tastes really great! I have now graduated to warm soft food following my wisdom teeth being pulled.
Today, FHE was hosted at Steven Richards. We went around the room sharing our names because there were a lot of new people present. We had a lesson based on Elder Holland’s talk “The Inconvenient Messiah.” The temptation is to want a convenient Messiah, but The Lord wants us to work for the things in our life.
So if your prayers don’t always seem answered, take heart. One greater than you or President Kimball cried, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46). If for a while the harder you try, the harder it gets, take heart. So it has been with the best people who ever lived.
What Christ did, was the hardest thing that any person on this Earth has ever had to do. When we take things that aren’t earned, it is stealing. God literally answers our prayers.
After the lesson, we had dilly bars and went to the park to play ultimate frisbee and toss around the football.
