Today I cut my grandmas grass. Before I did that, I took a nap for about half an hour.
Today’s institute lesson was from Joseph Smith—History, a book from the Pearl of Great Price, documenting the early years of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter—day Saints.
We covered how Joseph wrote the history to avoid confusion for people who are seeking the truth of the Church and to make any lies about the Church null and void. We discussed what led Joseph Smith to seek out The Lord’s answer as to which Church to join. Satan will always do anything in his power to overthrow what The Lord will do, but Jesus will always win.
We learned that Joseph Smith as a teenager was much like a normal teenager today, but felt that it wasn’t appropriate knowing that he was a prophet.
